It usualy takes a minute. If you dont see your Flickr photos, there can be some reasons:
- you did not geotag your images in the Flickr-way - you hide your images from third party mashups (like this one) - Flickr is slow with their database updates.
If you find difficulties with finding your Flickr photos on the site, please let me know, so we can check it and fix it.
I think I don't understand your statement: "geotag them on the WorldFlicks page of your neighbourhood". Is this an extra step? If so, where do I find the WorldFlicks page of my neighbourhood.

You add photos from your neighbourhood by using your Flickr account (if you dont have one, it's free and very nice ;-) ).
Upload your photos to Flickr, geotag them on the WorldFlicks page of your neighbourhood, and they appear on the site.

I am missing something very basic:
- I have geotagged my photos in Flickr
- The photos are public: "anyone can see"
- They don't appear on Worldflicks
